A bit more challenging with several steep climbs. The trail follows Beaver Creek and crosses it further upstream. Most of the trail is flat except for the creek crossing near the Nature Center.
Enter from near the Nature Center at the Civilian Conservation Corps monument, or from the Forest Heritage Trail parking lot. About 10 minutes from the cabin.
Hiking boots or sturdy shoes recommended—no sandals or slick-soled shoes.
Water, snacks, and insect repellent. Cell service can be limited.
Let someone know which trail you're hiking and when you plan to return.
Stay on designated trails, pack out trash, and don't pick plants or flowers.
